Thanks for subscribing to Magic in the Mountain’s newsletter! It means so much to me that you are here and wanted my posts to be sent directly to you. This is my first formal newsletter since launching my new WordPress site. At this time I don’t plan to send out a newsletter on a regular basis because…
I’m getting ready to thru hike the PCT!
I wrote a blog all about my decision to hit the trail this year. You can read it here. “The highs are high and the lows are low in the backcountry. Choosing to move forward in spite of those lows is what shapes you into a better version of yourself and why I believe thru hikers come off trail with a more refined sense of self. I am eager to see who I am at the Canadian border, because I know she will be different than the woman who set off from Mexico.”

I will be embarking on the 2,650 mile walk from Mexico to Canada beginning in early April. Before hitting the trail my goal was to get my blog as up to date as possible, so I’ve been busy writing articles. Here are some of the latest in case you missed them.

I am pleased to say that my West Highland Way page is fully updated! My hope is that this page can be a resource for future walkers and folks interested in the trail. I have included our itinerary for Fort William, Inverness, and Edinburgh along with my daily trail journals. There is even a spreadsheet with links to everywhere we stayed and ate.

Keep an eye on your inbox for another newsletter from me soon, I have even more that I want to share with you. I’ve been working on several gear reviews for The Trek as well as my gear list for the PCT. I’ve also got several exciting partnerships to announce soon! I plan to send out at least one more newsletter before leaving for the PCT. Happy trails!
