I first came to yoga as a way to cope with stress during my college years. I didn’t have access to an in-person yoga studio, but discovered the convenience of online yoga videos and began practicing regularly. I discovered that mental and physical resilience can be found on the mat.
I took that learning off the mat and into the woods. Practicing yoga along the trail became a passion on my thru-hikes, and I became a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher to share the experience with others.
I approach yoga and hiking with a similar sense of wonder and curiosity. I believe something is centering in slowing down, observing your breath, and reconnecting with nature and oneself.
